Micheal Brody, a senior at Olivet Nazarene University majoring in Multimedia Communication is doing an internship currently in Milner Media located just outside of campus down the street in Bourbonnais. Brody decided this internship was best for him because it allowed him to work at a place he wanted which is radio and walk into a radio industry whether it’s production, sales and radio editing. Brody said seeing opportunities and learning about it and the administration side of the internship has really been a great experience so far. Brody talks about how everyone he works with is very attentive and worked with Brody to reach his 180 hours to get his full 3 credits for his internships and allow that flexibility to do the internship and front load his hours to focus on his schoolwork as he prepares to graduate soon from Olivet.
Brody says he was able to focus on the job at hand without having to rush to focus on other things.
“I’m very happy to be in this internship and couldn’t be more blessed to be a part of it,” he said. This shows just how much of an impact this internship at Milner Media has made on Brody’s life and can potentially make a huge impact on what he decides to do after he graduates college soon in looking for potential career opportunities wherever Brody may choose to do. While Brody has enjoyed this internship a lot at Milner Media, he still is evaluating jobs when it comes for after school. While Brody is still evaluating his experiences, he’s gotten to have so far at Milner Media he is confident he can find a good job for him that will fit his strong skill set he has in the Multimedia world and looks to make a great impact wherever he chooses to work. Brody has said he talked about certain positions as jobs he could do and how he can be better with his job and can get the knowledge and skills to be ready to do that job when the opportunity presents itself.

Brody’s favorite part of the internship is being able to creative control over some projects as an intern. One of the projects Brody works on is coverage on the Chicago Bears as Milner Media sponsors the bears so the station wants to do full coverage on them whether it’s during the Bears season or it’s during the offseason. Brody is really happy with these Bears projects because he is a huge football fan himself even though Brody is a Packers fan he is still excited to talk about sports at his job. He is currently working on a project for his internship that will center around the Bears and the NFL draft.
Brody has learned from Milner Media and is very thankful and blessed that he got his opportunity to show off his skills to other people and let them see the kind of work he does and the determination and care he puts into his job and shows the put forth all the effort in the world to make him stand out and try to impress future job opportunities with his work he had done at Milner Media.
