The Disney College Program, also known as the DCP, is growing opportunity for Olivet students, and students all over the world, to work, live, and breathe Disney. Students must take a semester off, just like studying abroad, to go about this opportunity.
There are many students at Olivet who have gone to Disney to complete the Disney College Program. Almost everyone starts it and completes it, except for some due to the new virus, COVID-19.
This article will be discussing the Past, Present, and Future of students from Olivet and the DCP. It will also give you an inside look of the application requirements, roles, and application process.
PAST
Many Olivet students have participated in the DCP in the past. Students, like Alyssa Coffman, had the opportunity to explore Walt Disney World as well as have Mickey Mouse as their boss.

PRESENT
There were a few students from Olivet who did the DCP Spring 2020. One of these students was Jessica Buffa, a sophomore. She had the wonderful opportunity to have a special role and create magic for guests, all until her time got cut short due to the Covid-19 virus.
Below is a video interview with Jessica. She explains her feelings about having her program cut short, as well as discusses her popular role.
FUTURE
It is very popular for students from Olivet to do the Disney College Program, especially after graduation. Students like Stephanie Graden, a Senior, decided it would be her dream to work for Disney. Like Jessica, Stephanie’s program got canceled due to the Covid-19 virus.

HOW TO APPLY
Step 1: Do your research!
Research is your key to success. There are so many videos and blogs about the Disney College Program and how to prepare for the interview process. You want to educate yourself on the program as well as what it can do for you education.
Step 2: Check your eligibility.
Check the chart under requirements! This will help you decide if you are eligible for the program.
Step 3: Know when to apply.
Below are some charts for when the applications open and when you are supposed to have your program. One is for WDW and the other for DL.

Step 4: Submit your application!
All you need to do is go HERE, and when applications are being accepted, it should say “Apply Now!” at the top of the page. Click that and you are one step closer to being a cast member.
OLIVET AND THE DCP
As you can see, Olivet hosts a lot of DCP Alumni, as well as future cast members. Students like Stephanie, Jessica, and Alyssa all have experiences with the program in some shape or form and are ready to help YOU become a Disney Cast Member. Although there are no statistics coming from Olivet, it is still a very common choice to do the DCP for students.
