ONU Media Services is a team of qualified full-time staff and student workers who provide special services like camera work, editing, lighting, audio, etc. for events and clients. Today, let’s take a look at some of what the staff do for their work.

Rob Forester is the assistant director of video production in Media Services. He’s been working in Media for about six years.
“Day to day, the details of my job can vary quite a bit depending on what’s going on. Usually on a Wednesday or Thursday of course we have chapel, so I would begin with setting up for that. And then, in the afternoon, after Chapel would be making sure those get done and uploaded to their respected media outlets,” he said. Other than Chapel, Media Services runs sporting events, speeches, plays, and several other events.
Chapel Streaming is a service the media team provides. Every Wednesday or Thursday there are workers behind the camera, in the audio booth, backstage directing, or doing the lighting.

It’s all the same, but it’s never the same.”
Amy smith, Event Production Assistant
Amy Smith, the event production assistant in Olivet Nazarene University’s Media Services, has been working in Media Services for 8 years. She shares that no day is the same while working in Media Services.
“I do a ton of special projects,” she said. “I’m doing audio cad drawings for stage layouts, other days it’s lighting design, or just kind of fill in the gaps as needed. I don’t think there’s ever a day you do… ever the same. It’s all the same, but never the same.”
Smith explains that Media Services does a variety of different things for a variety of different clients and people.
