If there is an organization that allows students, no matter the major, to use the skills that they have developed during their college career to help organizations outside of the university setting, it would be the Inspired Strategies Agency (ISA) here at Olivet. The ISA is a student-run organization that works with organizations within the University as well as outside of it. It has provided many opportunities for students to use their newly developed skills in a real-world setting, also allowing the students to gain real-world experience in their field.
About ISA and the Organization’s Clients
The Inspired Strategies Agency (ISA) has provided a plethora of services to a variety of organizations both on and off the Olivet Nazarene University campus. It is led by students and provides communication students with an opportunity to push them out of their comfort zone and use what they have learned to help local organizations and businesses.
These are free services provided by the students who are members of the ISA. The ISA is led by students in the Communication Department and uses communication and multimedia skills to provide services related to public relations, videography, marketing training and business development.
One of the main purposes is to help promote these local businesses and organizations. Previously, ISA has done work for The Center of Hope, ONU Human Resources Department, CSL Behring, the City of Kankakee and the ONU Earth and Space Science program.

Rylie Pederson, an Account Executive with the ISA, has experience working with the organization. Peterson is doing work for Crag Manes and is promoting his workshop for handling debt which primarily targets senior students.

All in all, there are many ways that clients benefit from the services that ISA provides them as well as the members of ISA benefit from the experience they get. This essentially prepares students for their careers after graduation while aiding them in moving toward graduation. ISA as a student-run organization promotes student leadership among those who are hungry for experience and willing to work hard. Together, the ISA has provided services to 20+ organizations and businesses both inside and outside the campus. ISA overall makes a huge impact on the student experience here at Olivet Nazarene University.
