Mike Cipoletti Rounds the Bases at Olivet

At the young age of just four, Mike Cipoletti picked up his first baseball bat, and never looked back. Now as a Junior in college, Mike continues to make is mark playing infield at Olivet Nazarene University, where plays mostly at 2nd base and shortstop. Mike loves how happy the game makes him feel, and has learned many life lessons from the game. Baseball was never just a hobby for Mike, but a passion. Mike came to Olivet after graduating from Hauppauge High School with the opportunity to play baseball, which he could not turn down. He also had already played for the assistant coach in the past, and had connections to get him where he is today. For Mike, his college experience is not all about baseball, however. Mike loves to communicate, and uses his gift of speaking to become a Communication major. He has a passion for Leadership. He comes from a very large family in which some own an Event Planning business. When Mike is home, he enjoys working there with his family, using the communication skills he learns here at Olivet. If he is directed from a different path than baseball after college, Mike plans on opening his own event planning business.

Mike Cipoletti talks about his journey about finding Olivet.

Being a busy college athlete may be a lot to take on, but Mike still makes time for his many hobbies including working out, snowboarding, and wakeboarding. If he has wind-down time, he even enjoys watching movies – particularly within the comedy genre. Being 100% Italian, Mike loves to cook Italian food. Cooking has become another hobby of his that he loves. He has an older sister, as well as two nieces and one nephew. He is enjoying his time here at Olivet, and has learned more about himself and what he hopes to do in his future career and life.
