A Music Genius

Music has been a passion for Ozartun and he is truly talented at the music he makes. Ozartun told me about his passion and he had this to say… “My passion is making music and I was inspired by my father who was a DJ.” Ozartun decided to choose a different path from his father. He makes music electronically on the internet. He has been making music on his own since he was 12 years old. Jake is extremely talented at making all types of music, he makes hard hitting Hip Hop songs and low key R&B songs. He even dipped his toes in reggaeton music. He is very multidimensional with his music creativity, which is something that I really respect about him. Ozartun later told me about his musical influences. Ozartun told me this: “I would have to say Drake, Drake makes the type of music that I like and I have always emulated him.” Ozartun spends a vast majority of his time making music and spends hours perfecting his craft.
Life Lessons

Jake has had a lot of learning experiences in his life, and his friends are a big part of his life, that is including me. Jake has a complicated family situation, and he copes with the hardships of his family dynamic by being around his friends more often than his family. Jake often confides to his friends when dealing with family matters, he often talks about the family situations he has in his music. Everyone has complicated family issues, but Jake has had some awful family experiences that would make anyone with a heart cry. Jake has had to do a lot of things on his own without support from his family, such as making career decisions despite family objections, picking relationship partners with family objections, and deciding to pick his own major, when his parents did not want him to pick the major he has right now.
““I would tell my younger self that blood is not always as thick as water.”
— Jake Ozartun
All the family issues he has faced has turned him into one of the best friends I met, and being around him taught me that having great friends can almost replace having a complicated family. I asked Jake a question about advice he would give his younger self, and this is what he said: “I would tell my younger self that blood is not always as thick as water.” Jake’s family circumstance has been awful and I respect him deeply for what he’s gone through.
