Jordan Pfeiffelman: The Lovable Goofball with a Heart of Gold

“Loud, funny, and responsible,” is how Jordan Pfeiffelman would describe herself in three words. The people that spend time with her will agree. Her friends would describe her as a lovable know-it-all with a heart of gold. Jordan was born on the north side of Chicago, Illinois. She is now a sophomore at Olivet Nazarene University and is majoring in Live Event Media Management.

When applying for colleges, Jordan knew she wanted to do something involving live events, however, none of the schools that she looked at offered this as a major. That’s when she decided on Olivet because ONU offered her what other schools couldn’t.

Jordan is involved with media services on campus. She runs cameras at chapel, events, basketball, and concerts. She edits footage and creates light cues for some of these events as well. She has assisted with shows such as Singing in the Rain, Hiding Place, and Orpheus Variety Show. In high school, Jordan was a production director for her school’s shows. She has always adored doing that kind of work. She described it as “running around like a headless chicken, getting things done”

Jordan’s childhood was never boring. She is the middle child of three kids. Jordan has an older brother, Josh, and a younger brother, Noah. She also has two cats that she loves and adores, Cody and Cello.

Jordan wasn’t originally planning on coming to Olivet but she is very thankful that she did because of all of the great people she’s met along the way.

In her free time, Jordan likes to read, more specifically she likes to read the Percy Jackson series. Some would describe Jordan as a nerd because she is very passionate about tv shows like Star Trek and Dr. Who. Her hobbies include sewing and origami. She is known for making little origami frogs and butterflies in class and giving them out to the people sitting next to her. When asked how Jordan would spend her “perfect day” she responded with spending time with her boyfriend, Mark, who she has been dating for about two years.
